A way to go back.

A snapshot records the state of the entire drive at a specific moment. You do not need to manually duplicate every folder: Nodrive keeps the point in history so you can browse or restore it.

A snapshot lets you go back. To resist ransomware, the point must also remain undeletable until a set date. With your cloud this depends on the connected service; Offline Drive requires a separate backup.

End-to-end encryption happens directly on your device. Open and use files normally: Nodrive makes them readable only while you need them; when you close them, only encrypted, unusable parts remain on your computer and in the cloud.

Overall security also depends on device protection, safeguarding keys and configuring the environment correctly. The zero-knowledge model applies to file contents and structure: account, authentication, diagnostic and support data follow their respective notices; providers may retain infrastructure metadata.

Nodrive never receives your provider password. Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive use OAuth, and the authorisation token stays on your PC.

What you need to know, clearly.

What is a snapshot?

It is a history point representing the entire drive at a precise moment. Name it, browse it read-only and restore it. On cloud drives, Nodrive also records automatic and synchronization checkpoints.

Does a snapshot protect me from ransomware?

A snapshot lets you return to an earlier state. To resist ransomware, that point must also remain undeletable until a set date. With your cloud this depends on the connected service; Offline Drive requires a separate backup.

How does Offline Drive work?

Choose a folder on your PC, an external drive or a USB stick. Nodrive stores only encrypted blocks there and works without internet, email or an account. Take the device with you; opening it requires your password or Recovery Key.

Does Nodrive replace my cloud?

Not necessarily. Create an Offline Drive or make Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3 or WebDAV private. Nodrive Cloud is on the roadmap.

Is my password sent to the server?

Your Nodrive password is never sent to the server. OPAQUE verifies access without transmitting it; for Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive, Nodrive does not receive the provider password because authorisation uses OAuth.

Do I need to change how I work?

Nodrive appears as a drive on your computer: you can open and save files from your usual applications. Protection happens behind this experience.

What happens if I lose my device?

The recovery key lets you recover access to your data. If two-step verification is enabled, connecting a new computer also requires a registered passkey: keep it together with at least one portable passkey.

Does Nodrive make every attack impossible?

No technology can promise that. Nodrive reduces storage exposure, but security also depends on the device, credentials, keys and configuration.

Which systems are supported?

The current beta is available on Windows. Multi-device access through macOS, Linux and mobile clients is on the roadmap, but is not available yet.
