Nodrive 0.50.8
. This version must not be distributed; its content is included in 0.50.9.
Changes since 0.50.7. A small, focused release that fixes a failure which could leave a queue silently stopped while you were working.
Existing data is unchanged: the drives you already have remain exactly as they were.
Section 01
🔑 The session no longer ends silently
The connection with Nodrive servers lasts 24 hours. Previously it was measured from sign-in, so leaving Nodrive open could let the connection die while you were working. Changes then remained queued and stopped reaching the cloud, while the program blamed the network or asked you to reconnect Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive even though the provider was not the problem.
Now, when the session expires, Nodrive says so and follows the choice under Account → Behaviour → When I close the window: lock, exit or show a warning with a button to sign in again. File copies are allowed to finish, and encrypted blocks that have not been uploaded remain safe on the computer for the next session.
The queue no longer retries endlessly against a dead session. “Session expired” and “the provider revoked access” are separate conditions with separate messages and remedies.
⚠️ One half arrives later. The rule that using the program extends the session belongs to our servers, not this app build. In this beta the session still expires after 24 hours from sign-in; this version makes the condition visible instead of leaving the queue unexplained.
Section 02
🎚️ The sleep option has a switch
Under Account → Behaviour → Sleep, Block before sleep or hibernation is now a proper on/off switch aligned with the rest of the panel. The two first-run acknowledgements remain checkboxes because they are confirmations, not settings.

💻 System requirements
- 64-bit Windows 10 version 1709 or later, or Windows 11. Windows 7 and 8.1 are unsupported because the app uses WebView2.
- Windows on ARM is unsupported.
- WinFsp must be installed; it is the only step that requires administrator rights. Nodrive installs only for the current user.
- Windows Server 2019/2022: not tested.
- Two-step verification needs Windows Hello, a FIDO2 security key or a Bluetooth phone. A security key is not a USB memory stick and requires its own PIN.
⚠️ The installer is not yet signed. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning with “Unknown publisher”. Choose More info → Run anyway to continue. Code signing is planned.
Section 04
📌 Known limits
- Sliding expiry is not active yet; it requires a server update.
- Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive connections can expire after a few days while the provider apps remain in test mode. Use Reconnect from the drive card.
- Terms and Privacy open in the browser and are not yet available offline or tied to the exact accepted version.
